+SECRETS UNTOLD+
:: Meditations on the Inscrutable :: Cold Iron Chains ::

:: ESCHALA, GODDESS OF CONTROL, PATRON OF IMBALANCE ::

Eschala is the Chaos God of Power, Ownership and Authority.
Once thought by dark scholars to be an aspect of Tzeentch, Eschala oversees the vast machinations of Governance and Rule,
encouraging the powerful to increase their stranglehold over their chosen domain.
However, as with all aspects of Chaos, Eschala is a temperamental and capricious force.
She whispers in the ears of the oppressed, She stirs revolution and takes paradoxical delight
in the fall of kings and lords. She guides the weak to power of their own.

Sacred number: 2

:: BOND VASSAL :: LESSER DAEMON OF ESCHALA ::
Weak-willed beings that echo the actions and attitudes of their master.
Bond Vassals are known to mimic anything from craven killers to revolutionary war heroes,
depending on the manner of their summoning.

:: THRESHER :: STEED OF ESCHALA ::
Quadrupedal beasts of burden kept by followers of Eschala both for service and as a show of willpower.
A Thresher cannot be bound by one who fears provoking it,
and can only be be made compliant by those who believe themselves more powerful than it.

((HAPPY 89TH OF THE ETERNAL MARCH 2020 EVERYONE))
((Or as it's known in the real world, the 28th of may))
((Technically the 29th here in Australia, but 28 is more appropriate because...))
((Today's piece is a Daemonic Diorama for 28MAG's Lesser Chaos God Challenge))

((This one was something of a step outside my usual))
((Firstly with the large "scenic" base))
((But also in the depth of construction for the two daemons))
((They are composed from quite a lot of parts that have absolutely no business going together))
((And as such there was a lot of gap filling and hiding of crimes))
((I used some extra fine 2mm masking tape for the bandages))
((Which was a challenging experiment, to say the least))
((Tape is not exactly known for being rigid, so I basically covered it in superglue))
((Which worked surprisingly well, despite not soaking much into the plastic-y tape))

((My main regret with this model is how similar the skin tone is to the bandages))
((I took some inspiration from the Xanthous Armour set from the Dark Souls series))
((Though some of the later washes were too liberal and dulled the bright yellows down too much))
((I'm also a bit unsure about the actual composition and placement))
((The more humanoid model is a little far off to one side, the whole thing seems a bit unbalanced))

((The theme of control and power came to me surprisingly quickly after the challenge was announced))
((I wanted to lean a bit more into "Chaos as force of nature" rather than "Chaos as pure evil"))
((For a while I've been thinking about interpretations of heroic chaos followers))
((But nothing concrete has come to mind just yet))
((Stay Tuned!))

((That being said, stay less tuned than usual since I've fallen off the hobby train for the moment))
((So much distractions, coupled with not wanting to overstress myself in an already stressful time))
((Stay Somewhat Tuned, I Guess))
