((PAINTWATER ORACLE))
The Rubicon Primaris: Experiments with Scale

Time moves on, the best of us keep pace with the new.

So one sub-hobby I kind of picked up while looking around at all the hobby blogs that eventually inspired this blog (most notably eternal hunt) is the idea of making several different versions of the same characters, and also converting truescale deathwatch. Today's filler post combines those together, as I've been studying for an exam and have not been able to actually finish painting anything this week.

:: DEATHWATCH :: WATCH-FORTRESS PALADIN'S CROSSING ::

:: THE APOTHECARY CAMPAIGN ::
This is the original version of my Deathwatch Kill Team, scaled to the old-style space marine models.
I have used a few custom chapters along the way, which have been marked (*) next to the chapter name. There are more in the truescale kill team, but not all of those members are included here, to keep some things for later.

Watch-Sergeant Petrus Omicron, Obstructors* Veteran Tactical Sergeant

Brother Arvid Hawksmane, Space Wolves Grey Hunter

Brother Silas Argyris, Angels of Fury Vanguard Veteran

Brother Orson Caspar, Skull Bearers Sternguard Veteran

Brother-Codicier Edric Geiger, Steel Wings* Librarian

I'll be the first to admit there's a bit of disparity in how fancy their armour sets are, but I feel like they each neatly demonstrate my version of each chapter's outlook. Decorated and non-standard for the Space Wolves, something a bit ostentatious for the Angels of Fury (an Ultramarines successor, apparently), very tactical and technological for the Obstructors (custom Imperial Fists successor) and Skull Bearers (believed Imperial Fists by way of the Executioners), and the strange artifact wargear of the Steel Wings (custom unknown successor)

:: INVESTIGATION OF THESEUS ::
One thing I've always enjoyed about space marines is the interchangeability of components through all the models.I've tried to keep to that as much as possible with the truescale versions of these Deathwatch characters, using terminator and custodian parts to add some much-needed variation to the rather samey Primaris template.Brother Hawksmane has also seen a promotion, now with his own squad, some fancy wargear, and a pet eagle.

 The full Primaris Kill Team will hopefully include around 12 members, for two-ish squads of five or six members. Brother Caspar will also have acquired some Terminator/Gravis armour, but I don't have the parts necessary for that yet, so he is not present in these pictures.
